Use Delivered when the freight has reached the final delivery location. Use Completed when the load is fully closed out in your office workflow and should no longer be treated as active work.
This article applies to Freight Broker, Dispatch Service, and Carrier/Trucking accounts. Your account type may change whether you assign a carrier or driver, and whether you use a Rate Confirmation or Dispatch Report, but the meaning of these two statuses is the same.
| Status | What It Means | When to Use It |
|---|---|---|
| Delivered | The freight has physically arrived at the final delivery location. | Use this when the move is done, but paperwork, invoicing, payment, or settlement work may still be pending. |
| Completed | The load is finished operationally and administratively. | Use this when the load is ready to be treated as closed. |
Delivered means the cargo has been delivered to the final destination. The truck may be empty, but the load may still need office follow-up before it is complete.
After a load is delivered, your team may still need to:
Completed means the load is finished and closed out. In many workflows, this is the final status after delivery, POD review, invoicing, payment follow-up, and any carrier or driver payment steps are done.
Completed does not delete the load. The load can still be found in history, reports, and search results, depending on your filters and permissions.
You can update the load status from the Load Screen. The status field appears near the top of the load, along with other load-level details such as dispatcher and sales rep.
Your company can customize status names and status rules, but a common workflow looks like this:
Can I invoice a delivered load?
Yes. Delivered loads are often ready for billing review, especially after the POD is received.
Can I still find a completed load later?
Yes. Completed loads remain available for history, reporting, and searching based on your filters and permissions.
Can our company rename these statuses?
Yes. Admin users can customize load statuses in Settings. If your company renamed a status, use the meaning your team assigned to it.
