Use My Carrier Packets with Load Manager

Before You Use This Article

  • Access needed: Outside-carrier management in Load Manager. This is for companies that broker freight or dispatch for carrier customers.
  • Use this article when: you are a freight broker or dispatch service working with outside carriers, carrier packets, safety checks, or carrier contacts. Full company paths: Freight Brokers or Dispatch Services.
  • Use a different article when: you run a trucking-only company and need company driver, equipment, or dispatch-report workflows; use Dispatch Report Overview for Carriers and Trucking Companies.

Use this article when your company has the optional My Carrier Packets integration and wants to start or review a carrier's My Carrier Packets onboarding from a Load Manager carrier profile.

Before you start: Applies to freight broker and dispatch service accounts that manage outside carriers.

My Carrier Packets is separate from Load Manager's built-in Onboard Carrier workflow. If your company uses the built-in Load Manager onboarding packet instead, use the Onboard Carrier articles in the related articles section.

Before You Start

  • Your company must have an active My Carrier Packets account.
  • The My Carrier Packets integration must be activated in Load Manager setup.
  • The carrier must be saved in the Carriers tab.
  • The carrier profile must include a DOT #. The My Carrier Packets workflow uses the DOT number to open or send the carrier packet.

Connect My Carrier Packets

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Open Configuration Options.
  3. Find the My Carrier Packets section.
  4. Select Activate My Carrier Packets.
  5. Enter the MCP Username.
  6. Enter the MCP Password.
  7. Select Save.

Send a Carrier to My Carrier Packets

  1. Go to the Carriers tab.
  2. Add a new carrier or open an existing carrier profile.
  3. Confirm the carrier has a DOT #.
  4. Select Save if you just added or changed the carrier.
  5. Select Onboard Carrier.
  6. Follow the My Carrier Packets page that opens in the new browser tab.

Review a Carrier's Packet Later

After a carrier has been sent through My Carrier Packets, the carrier profile may show the My Carrier Packets logo with View Carrier Packet. Select that link to review the carrier's current packet details in My Carrier Packets.

If You See a Different Onboarding Button

If your account has Load Manager's built-in Onboard Carrier workflow active, that workflow may appear on the carrier profile instead of the My Carrier Packets button. In that case, use the built-in Onboard Carrier workflow for that carrier.

If you are not sure which onboarding workflow your company uses, check with an administrator before sending the carrier a packet.

Troubleshooting

  • You do not see My Carrier Packets in setup: Contact Load Manager Support to confirm the integration is available on your account.
  • The Onboard Carrier button does not appear for MCP: Confirm My Carrier Packets is activated and the carrier profile has a DOT number.
  • The carrier opens in the built-in Load Manager onboarding workflow: Your company may have Load Manager Onboard Carrier active. Use the built-in onboarding article instead.
  • The packet does not open: Confirm the carrier's DOT number is correct, then try again from the carrier profile.
  • The wrong carrier opens in My Carrier Packets: Check the DOT number on the Load Manager carrier profile and update it if needed.
