Use the Reports Dashboard

[Audience: All TMS Types]

The Dashboard gives you a quick view of company performance from the Reports menu. You can review sales, profit, profit percentage, load count, and activity by date range, status range, customer, carrier or driver, equipment, sales representative, dispatcher, and other available report options.

Open the Dashboard

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. Click Dashboard.

Choose Dashboard Filters

Use the Dashboard filters to control what information is included.

  • Group By: View results by month, customer, carrier or driver, equipment, sales representative, or dispatcher. Some options depend on your user permissions and TMS type.
  • Preset Dates: Choose a preset range such as This Week, Last Week, This Month, Last Month, This Year, or Last Year.
  • Date Type: Run the Dashboard by pickup date or delivery date.
  • Status Range: Choose the starting and ending load statuses to include.
  • Saved Dashboard: Save a dashboard view so you can return to the same filter setup later.

Compare Two Time Periods

Use Dashboard comparison reporting when you want to compare performance across two selected date ranges, such as month-to-month, quarter-to-quarter, or year-to-year.

  1. Go to Reports > Dashboard.
  2. Choose the main Dashboard filters you want to use, such as Date Type, Status Range, customer, sales representative, dispatcher, equipment, carrier, or driver.
  3. Select the first date range you want to review.
  4. Select the comparison date range.
  5. Choose how to group the results, such as by customer, sales representative, dispatcher, or month.
  6. Run or refresh the Dashboard to view the comparison.

The comparison view can help you review Sales, Profit, Profit %, and Loads for each selected period. Use this when you need to compare performance trends by customer, sales representative, dispatcher, or overall company totals.

Dashboard comparison reporting follows the same role permissions and restricted visibility rules as the regular Dashboard. If a user's role limits reporting to assigned loads, the comparison only includes loads that user is allowed to see.

Understand Role-Based Visibility

What a user sees on the Dashboard can depend on the user's role permissions and employee profile assignments. Some roles may see company-wide reporting, while restricted roles may only see load activity tied to their assigned sales representative, dispatcher, or linked employee profiles.

For Freight Broker and Dispatch Service accounts, dashboard labels may refer to Carrier or Carrier/Driver. For Carrier or Trucking Company accounts, the same dashboard area may refer to Driver because those accounts use the Driver tab instead of the Carrier tab.

Save a Dashboard View

  1. Open the Dashboard.
  2. Select the filters and grouping you want to reuse.
  3. Enter a name in the saved dashboard name field.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Use the Saved Dashboard list later to reload that view.

Set Up a Dashboard Login for an Office Monitor

Load Manager can provide a dashboard-only login for a shared office monitor. This login is intended for display use and does not use a regular user license.

  1. Go to Settings > Display Settings.
  2. Find the Dashboard Login section.
  3. Copy the dashboard User and Password.
  4. Use Generate New Password if you need to reset the dashboard password.
  5. Choose the default dashboard view in the Show field: Sales, Profit, or Loads.
  6. Click Save.
  7. On the computer or monitor that will display the Dashboard, open the regular Load Manager login page.
  8. Log in with your company code and the dashboard login credentials.

Export or Share the Dashboard

The Dashboard can generate a report view with sales, profit, profit percentage, and load count totals. Use this when you need a copy of the Dashboard results or comparison results outside the live screen.

Troubleshooting

  • If the Dashboard option is missing, ask an administrator to review the user's Reports permissions.
  • If a user sees fewer loads than expected, confirm the user is assigned correctly on the loads and review any linked employee profiles.
  • If a user sees more data than expected, review the user's role permissions.
  • If the office monitor login does not work, confirm the company code, dashboard user, and dashboard password from Settings > Display Settings.
  • If the office monitor should show a different default view, update the Show field in the Dashboard Login section and save the Display Settings.
