Set Up Microsoft Office Outlook 365 Email

HOW TO SET UP OUTLOOK 365 EMAIL 

Load Manager has powerful email tools that allow you to email Rate Cons, Invoices, and other documents with just a few clicks.  You must go through the one-time setup procedure before you can use these tools.  To setup your email:

          
In OUTLOOK:  

      1) Enable SMTP settings 
            Sign in to your Outlook by going to your Microsoft Admin Center   In menu options choose "Users', then "Active Users" 


      Click on your Active User and choose "Mail".  Enable SMTP Settings.  


      2) Enable 2 Factor Authentication
            Go to myaccount.microsoft.com.  and click on "Security info"


Click on  "Add Method" to add your Phone number and Email Address


 Enter a phone number and email for your authentication method, and then select Next.  You may be asked to enter in an code sent your email or phone number to verify.
Tip: if the phone number or email is not shown, select "I want to set up a different method".  And choose method the drop down list provided.  You can select any authentication method preferred but we suggest phone number or email as the most common options. 




Once Your phone number and email address are enter.  Click "Enable two step verification"   You may be asked to enter in an code sent your email or phone number to verify.



3) Create an App Password:

Sign Out. then Sign back in to the email account as it may take a few minutes for the Two Step Verification to update. Enter the verification code sent to your phone to prove you're authorized to access your email account if prompted. Then go to Additional security verification page, click on Add Sign-In Method

2. Select the new option App Password from the drop down list.  

3) Enter in the Description as "Load Manager".  Click Next. An app password will be generated.  Click the copy icon circled in red below to copy the app password.


In LOAD MANAGER TMS

4) Enter your email credentials in Load Manager TMS
   In Load Manager, click on the USERS menu, then click on your user. Paste the password into the SMTP password as shown below. Make sure your email address is entered in the Email and SMTP user name as shown.  Outlooks SMTP server address is smtp-mail.outlook.com.  SMTP Port should be 587, TLS is checked. Lastly click the "Verify SMTP Settings" check box. and click Save as shown below.
. In Load Manager TMS.  Go to the User tab and open the user profile with the email address you are working with.   Paste the app password you copied into the field called "SMTP password".
