Set Up Load Board Integrations in Load Manager

Before You Use This Article

• Access needed: load board integration enabled on your Load Manager account. If you do not see the option, it may not be enabled for your account.
• Use this article when: your Load Manager account has load board integration enabled and you are setting up or troubleshooting that connection. Company paths that commonly use this article: Freight Brokers or Dispatch Services.
• Use a different article when: you do not use this integration or feature; return to the company path that matches your current workflow: Freight Brokers, Carriers, Owner-Operators, and Trucking Companies, or Dispatch Services.

Load Manager can connect to supported load boards so you can post loads from your TMS instead of entering the same load information separately on each load board website.

Before you start: Load board integration must be enabled for your account. Applies to Freight Broker and Dispatch Service accounts.

This article explains where to enter load board credentials, how default posting works, and how to post a load after setup.

Supported Load Board Options

The load board setup fields may include:

• DAT Load Board
• 123 Load Board
• LoadBoard Network
• DirectFreight Load Board
• Truckstop

The exact options available in your account depend on your Load Manager setup and the load board services your company subscribes to.

Before You Start

Before entering credentials in Load Manager:

• Make sure your company has an active account with the load board.
• Ask the load board provider for the correct integration credentials for Load Manager.
• Confirm whether the integration should be set up for an individual user, an office, or both.
• Do not email load board passwords in plain text. If support needs to help, they can tell you the safest way to share or reset credentials.

Open the User Profile Setup

Most load board integrations are set up from the user profile.

1. Go to the User tab.
2. Open the user who should post loads to the load board.
3. Scroll to the load board integration section.
4. Enter the credentials supplied by the load board provider.
5. Select the checkbox for the load board you want to activate.
6. Select Default Posting if loads should default to posting to that load board.
7. Select Save or Save & Exit.

DAT Load Board Setup

For DAT, request the Load Manager integration credentials from DAT. In Load Manager, the DAT section uses:

• Service account username
• Service account password
• Individual username

After those fields are entered, select the DAT Load Board checkbox. Select Default Posting only if you want DAT selected automatically when posting loads.

123 Load Board Setup

For 123 Load Board, enter the username and password provided for the integration, then select the 123 Load Board checkbox.

Select Default Posting only if you want 123 Load Board selected automatically when posting loads.

LoadBoard Network Setup

If your account uses LoadBoard Network, enter the PE Customer Key provided for the integration. Then select the LoadBoard Network checkbox and save.

DirectFreight Load Board Setup

For DirectFreight, enter the integration username and password provided by DirectFreight. Then select the DirectFreight Load Board checkbox.

Select Default Posting only if you want DirectFreight selected automatically when posting loads.

Truckstop Setup

Truckstop setup is opened from the user profile, but it is connected to the user's assigned office.

1. Open the user profile.
2. Find the Truckstop section.
3. Select Setup Integration.
4. Complete the Truckstop setup in the Office setup window that opens.
5. Save the office setup.

How Default Posting Works

Default Posting controls whether that load board is selected automatically when you create or edit a load. The default-posting checkbox becomes available only after the load board is active and the required credential fields are filled in.

You can still choose whether to post an individual load when working on the load screen.

Post a Load to a Load Board

1. Create or open the load.
2. Review the load details, pickup and delivery information, equipment, rates, and contact information.
3. Select the checkbox for the load board you want to post to.
4. Select Save.
5. Review the success or error message shown by Load Manager.

If the post succeeds, the load should be posted to the selected load board. If the post fails, read the message carefully because it may identify the missing field or credential problem.

Troubleshooting

If setup or posting fails:

• Confirm the load board account is active.
• Confirm the credentials were entered under the correct load board section.
• Confirm all required fields are entered, including any individual username, password, service account, or customer key field used by that load board.
• Confirm the load board has enabled third-party or Load Manager integration for your account.
• Try saving the user or office setup again after correcting the information.
• If you still need help, contact Load Manager support with the load board name, the error message, the load number if applicable, and your company name or company code. Do not include passwords in the ticket unless support gives you a secure method to share them.
