Send Carrier Onboarding Directly from Load Manager

Send Carrier Onboarding Directly from Load Manager

Yes. If your Load Manager account uses carrier onboarding, you can start the onboarding process from inside Load Manager instead of sending the carrier a separate packet manually.

Who This Applies To

This article applies to accounts that work with outside carriers, including freight brokers and dispatch services. Carrier/trucking company accounts usually manage their own drivers instead of onboarding outside carriers.

Freight Brokers: Send Onboarding from the Carrier Profile

If you are dispatching freight to outside carriers, start from the carrier record.

  1. Go to Carriers.
  2. Open the carrier's Carrier Information page.
  3. Select Onboard Carrier at the top of the screen.
  4. Follow the prompts to send or manage the onboarding request.

Dispatch Services: Start from Customer Information When Needed

If you are a dispatch service working for a carrier, your workflow may start from the customer record instead.

  1. Go to Customers.
  2. Open the customer's Customer Information page.
  3. Select Onboard Carrier at the top of the screen.
  4. Follow the prompts to send or manage the onboarding request.

What the Carrier Receives

The onboarding process is used to collect the information and documents your company requires before working with the carrier. The exact packet, questions, and required documents may depend on your company's onboarding setup.

If You Do Not See the Onboard Carrier Button

  • Confirm that your account is set up to use carrier onboarding.
  • Confirm that you are on the correct Carrier Information or Customer Information page for your workflow.
  • Confirm that your user login has permission to manage carrier onboarding.
  • If the button is still missing, contact Load Manager support and include your company code, your username, and whether you are using a freight broker or dispatch service workflow.
