Upload a Document in the Locate My Freight Mobile App
Before You Use This Article
Drivers can use the Locate My Freight mobile app to upload load documents, proof of delivery files, BOL photos, and other load-related images from their phone. Use this article when a driver needs help adding a document from the mobile app.
Before You Start
- The load must be sent to the driver using the Mobile App dispatch option.
- The driver must install and open the Locate My Freight app.
- The driver should allow the app to access the phone's camera or photo library when prompted.
- The driver needs a stable cellular or internet connection before submitting the upload.
Upload a Document
- Open the Locate My Freight app.
- Open the assigned load.
- Open the document, attachment, POD, or upload option shown for the load.
- Choose whether to take a new photo or select an existing file or image from the phone.
- Review the selected image or file before submitting.
- Tap the upload or submit option.
- Wait for the app to confirm that the document was sent.
Confirm the Upload in Load Manager
- In Load Manager, open the load.
- Review the load's attachment or document area.
- Confirm the uploaded file is attached to the correct load.
- If the file is missing, ask the driver to retry after confirming phone permissions and data connection.
Tips for Clear Uploads
- Take the photo in good lighting.
- Make sure all corners of the document are visible.
- Avoid blurry photos by holding the phone still before tapping the shutter.
- Use one upload per document when possible so the office can review files quickly.
Troubleshooting
- The upload button is missing: Confirm the load was sent through the Mobile App workflow and the driver is opening the assigned load in Locate My Freight.
- The app cannot open the camera: Ask the driver to allow camera access for Locate My Freight in the phone settings.
- The app cannot select a photo: Ask the driver to allow photo or file access for Locate My Freight.
- The upload does not finish: Ask the driver to retry with a stronger data connection.
- The wrong load was opened: Confirm the load number in the app before the driver uploads the document.
