Use Text Dispatch in Load Manager

Before You Use This Article

  • Access needed: Text Dispatch enabled on your Load Manager account. It is included with Premium for eligible freight broker or dispatch service accounts; otherwise use it only when the feature is enabled for your account.
  • Best starting path: Start from Freight Brokers or Dispatch Services.
  • If this is not your setup: If you run a trucking-only company, Premium is not the normal path. Use Carriers, Owner-Operators, and Trucking Companies for driver, equipment, and trucking workflows.

Text Dispatch lets Load Manager send a text message notice to a driver or mobile contact when you dispatch a load. Use it when your team wants the driver to receive a quick phone notification with dispatch information or a mobile dispatch link.

Before You Send a Text Dispatch

Before sending, confirm the load has the basic dispatch details your driver needs.

  • The load is saved in Load Manager.
  • The pickup and delivery locations are entered.
  • The pickup date or dispatch date is entered.
  • The assigned driver or mobile contact has a valid cell phone number.
  • Text Dispatch or Mobile Dispatch is enabled for your account.

Send a Text Dispatch

  1. Open the load from My Loads, All Loads, or the Dispatch Board.
  2. Confirm the assigned carrier, driver, or mobile contact is correct for the load.
  3. Click the load's Mobile Dispatch, Mobile Rate Con, or text dispatch option used by your account.
  4. Review the phone number and message details before sending.
  5. Click Send.

If Text Dispatch Is Not Available

If you do not see the text dispatch option, check the items below before contacting support.

  • Confirm Text Dispatch is enabled for your account.
  • Confirm the driver or mobile contact has a cell phone number saved.
  • Confirm your user role allows you to dispatch or send mobile dispatch messages.
  • Confirm the load has been saved before trying to send the message.
